We believe Wall Street is more focused on products and scale, which leads to under-serving the needs of investors. We strive to differentiate ourselves by providing customized solutions along with high touch personal relationships.
Buckhorn Investment Advisors was created in 2017 based on the principles and investment process utilized by Julian's mentor. Julian's mentor founded and ran his firm for well over 20 years. Buckhorn saw the need for an investment advisor with transparent fees, a mantra of doing their best to leave a client or prospect in a better place than before they met them, and a clients interest first mentality.
Julian has over 14 years of investment management and financial planning experience. Julian's background in security selection, asset allocation, and portfolio construction, as well as his financial planning experience, enable him to effectively construct portfolios to match each client's specific financial goals. He performs ongoing due diligence on the investments, analyzing investment and portfolio results.
Julian graduated from the University of Georgia with a BS in Consumer Economics with special emphasis in Family Financial Management. He holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation and has been awarded the CFA designation by the CFA Institute. He is a regular member of the CFA Institute and North Carolina Society of Financial Analysts. He also has the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
Julian enjoys hunting and fishing as well as other outdoor activities. Julian also enjoys playing and watching various sports, but is especially fond of his Georgia Bulldogs.
